A Fiscal Sponsor is a public charity seeking funds for a project compatible with its own mission, but implemented by a separate organization that may not have IRS public charity status. If you have a relationship and agreement with an organization that will serve as a Fiscal Sponsor for a project, they will need to apply directly in our system. You may not apply on their behalf. Please make sure that you have understood the responsibilities of a Fiscal Sponsor relationship before proceeding. A Fiscal Sponsor is not the same as Fiscal Agent. A Fiscal Agent is an organization that serves as a pass-through for funding designated to another organization or project, and does not accept the legal responsibilities of a Fiscal Sponsor. We do not make grants to Fiscal Agents.
